1st day of school

Big 2nd grader this week! Off to a good year! He was glad to "get back to work" and see his friends.
Can I get on the bus now? Do I really have to wait to go to school until after lunch? She is having a GREAT time in school. She is so excited to go and can't wait until after lunch. She thinks if we eat lunch earlier the bus will come earlier... Luke was giving hugs before she got on the bus. Then he waved to the bus and Sis saying, "bye bus, bye sissy bus, ater (later)." "YEAH, I have Mom all to myself now!!"

Baseball, the enegizer bunny

So school starts next Monday and we are STILL playing baseball. We started back in March. With all of the rain-out games we are still going. Needless to say Alex is done. We got some pictures back today and I thought I would share in some of his excitement. Swimming is much more exciting! (and a lot faster pace-racing)

Summer 2008

Ok, Ok, you know I am bad at this! So here is a bunch! We have had a GREAT summer! We have been busy doing, well... everything and nothing!
This was at Grandma and Grandpa Warners house over the 4th of July. Maddi and Trey were there so that added to extra fun! This was the night of our bonfire and fireworks display. I am not sure who enjoyed lighting the fireworks more, Alex, Tommy or Matt...
Great Grandpa and Alex "managing" or watching the workers work on Grandmas landscaping. Are they doing a good job? They loved those snakes. Alex is off lighting smoke bombs himself while the "little kids" do the snakes. Yes, there is Elizabeth with her dress and Hannah Montanna Purse. We went back to Iowa for a short weekend to see Matt's family and Sister from Minnesota. We had a great time. We went to the Children's Museum there with cousin Zachary on the left. He is doing so well! Look at this bubble MOM!!! You know my heart still loves the trains! This was the kids in Grandpa Warners office eating all of his M & M's. They were all lined up shoving them in their mouth. Luke couldn't get them in there fast enough! Alex was in swim team again this year and is loving it. He is quite the swimmer. He learned the breast stroke and butterfly. He was really good at the butterfly! Such a hard stroke.
We had a family golf scramble and so we were getting ready for it. We all had our visors and glasses, just like Mommy. This is her new pose... Now you know where Erkle went!!! Like Alex says, "don't you just want to smudge those cheeks!"

Elizabeth graduation

Elizabeth graduated from preschool on May 15. The ceremony was so adorable! I only wish she wasn't so frightened to walk into the room and on the stage! Here are 2 clips of her attempting to do so. Needless to say, she sat on my lap in front during the rest of the ceremony and the lip stuck out the entire time!

Elizabeth graduation

A visit from Uncle D on Elizabeth's LAST day of Preschool.
I am ready for Kindergarten! Well, maybe not. This is my teacher Mrs. Randazzo. As soon as she walked into the building for graduation, she FREAKED out. She was sobbing the entire ceremony, in my lap. She made it to the stage, then ran off. I guess she gets her shyness from me.

Don't trip over the lip!

Lucas and Elizabeth bdays

Two birthdday's, 2 weeks apart. Yes I did it again. Luke turned 2 on April 25. His favorite things are cars, trains and dinosaurs aka ROARS! So Alex said, "Mommy, why don't you do all 3 for his cake." You know me, I pondered that idea and wha-la here is what I came up with. He had a few friends over and they had a great time! (I still can't believe he is 2!)
Elizabeth's 5th birthday was 2 weeks later on May 9. She wanted a "non-sleepover - sleepover"party. Basically it was a PJ party. The girls wore their PJ's and brought sleeping bags. We played games with the sleeping bags and bears, had pizza, sang with Hannah Montanna, you know the drill for 5 year olds. Here was my creation for her cake.

I know, I know most of the stories I tell you are about her being so shy, guess not here! Her and her other shy friend Emma sang. Actually, Elizabeth didn't sing, she said "Hello" over and over again into the microphone.

Lucas Dancing

Our Entertainer at his finest. Lucas was playing the harmonica and dancing around and I actually got it on video. The kids love to make these videos. Elizabeth actually performs! I know shocking!

Kids Prof Pictures May 1, 2008

We finally got the kids pictures taken again. There is no easy(cheap) way to have 3 kids pictures taken. Thank goodness they are not cute!!! Here are just a few of the 100 I had to choose from! Alex's were funny because he just poses and sits there so well, they all looked the same of him. Of coarse Miss Shy would barely smile and the Entertainer must have been off duty for a while. Isn't that the way it always goes~ Enjoy!

St. Louis 1/2 marathon

This is me and my friend Sarah, after we finished the St. Louis 1/2 marathon! Yes we could still walk, just stairs hurt for a few days! Because my husband ditched my event for the Masters and my mother was too scared to come downtown St. Louis with 3 children (I don't blame her!) I don't have any pictures of me running the race. Doesn't my medal prove it?

Father Daughter Dance Feb 2008

Elizabeth and Matt also had a dance earlier this year, (I slacked in the blogging area). They had a great time as well. She was a little timid and shy at the dance and mainly observed. She looked pretty darn beautiful though! The theme was High School Musical and they had glitter microphones, therefore, glitter was EVERYWHERE for days to come!
The princess getting ready. My mom always took those getting ready shots...

The final look!

Elizabeth and Matt, don't they look great!

Mother Son Dance 4/12/08

Alex and I had our first Mother/Son Dance last night 4/12/08. We were so excited to go and we had a BLAST! I thought we might, and was excited to catch up with some friends myself, however, he never let me sit down long enough to chat! We danced the entire night long! Next year, maybe Lucas can join us!
How low can you go Big A?

Slide to the left (no your other left!)

The bubble machine was a big hit with the boys. As you can see they would put their entire heads right in the bubbles. Good thing they were Blueberry smelling!
