This was Elizabeth, oh I mean Lizzie's 6th birthday party. She had all the girls from her class over for a girly time. We made Flip Flops, and played games. I think she had a lot of fun!
Another fun creation! It was about 2 feet long! The stem itself is 13 inches long!
The Americal girl doll was a huge hit from Grandma and Grandpa! She looks like Elizabeth, with freckles and blue eyes! She named her Katie. She can't wait to take her to lunch in Chicago with Grandma sometime this summer!

Lucas's 3rd birthday was a huge hit! He wanted "cars birfday" so I attemped a Lightening McQueen Cake. I will say those are a little more difficult than my plan use your imagination cakes! He liked it though and that is all that matters!

Lucas Laughing

Making some cupcakes on our Easy Bake oven!
CHEESE!
Just having lunch!
Elizabeth on the Magic Carpet at ski school.
Lucas just visiting. He really wanted to go to Ski school he said.
Alex and I at the TOP of the mountain!
We went to Colorado over the New Year with my family. It was the first time the kids skiied. THEY LOVED IT! Alex really took off and was great! Elizabeth loved it but preferred the Bunny Hill. My parent did great! They tried and my mom finally succeeded at getting off the lift!! As Alex would say, "So that's why the lift stops all of the time!". Aside from my brother hitting a tree and landing in the ER with 2 broken ribs and a concussion, we had a great time!

Fall 2008

Christmas day Lucas decided to moon us. He thought it was pretty cute!
Christmas 2008 was spent with just our family this year. We had a great time and enjoyed our time together.
Just a fun "relaxing" dinner!
Here is the Black Cat, draculla and the Pig. Lucas refused to wear it!!
Alex was Dracula. He won best costume for the 2nd year in a row! He is already working on next year to win again!
Halloween was fun this year. Elizabeth was 3 things. For Halloween night she was a Hawkeye cheerleader, her school party she was a witch and for another party she was a black cat. Being a 5 year old girl sure can be difficult making choices! Good thing we had all 3 costumes!!
Trey, Lucas and Alex trying to stay out of trouble!
Maddi and Elizabeth getting ready to walk down the aisle.
This is a family picture from my cousins wedding. Elizabeth was the flower girl. The boys were just the entertainment of the evening!
OMG, it really has been 6 months since I have updated this site! SORRY! We have been busy with school stuff, vacations and well just life. Enjoy the update!

1st day of school

Big 2nd grader this week! Off to a good year! He was glad to "get back to work" and see his friends.
Can I get on the bus now? Do I really have to wait to go to school until after lunch? She is having a GREAT time in school. She is so excited to go and can't wait until after lunch. She thinks if we eat lunch earlier the bus will come earlier... Luke was giving hugs before she got on the bus. Then he waved to the bus and Sis saying, "bye bus, bye sissy bus, ater (later)." "YEAH, I have Mom all to myself now!!"

Baseball, the enegizer bunny

So school starts next Monday and we are STILL playing baseball. We started back in March. With all of the rain-out games we are still going. Needless to say Alex is done. We got some pictures back today and I thought I would share in some of his excitement. Swimming is much more exciting! (and a lot faster pace-racing)

Summer 2008

Ok, Ok, you know I am bad at this! So here is a bunch! We have had a GREAT summer! We have been busy doing, well... everything and nothing!
This was at Grandma and Grandpa Warners house over the 4th of July. Maddi and Trey were there so that added to extra fun! This was the night of our bonfire and fireworks display. I am not sure who enjoyed lighting the fireworks more, Alex, Tommy or Matt...
Great Grandpa and Alex "managing" or watching the workers work on Grandmas landscaping. Are they doing a good job? They loved those snakes. Alex is off lighting smoke bombs himself while the "little kids" do the snakes. Yes, there is Elizabeth with her dress and Hannah Montanna Purse. We went back to Iowa for a short weekend to see Matt's family and Sister from Minnesota. We had a great time. We went to the Children's Museum there with cousin Zachary on the left. He is doing so well! Look at this bubble MOM!!! You know my heart still loves the trains! This was the kids in Grandpa Warners office eating all of his M & M's. They were all lined up shoving them in their mouth. Luke couldn't get them in there fast enough! Alex was in swim team again this year and is loving it. He is quite the swimmer. He learned the breast stroke and butterfly. He was really good at the butterfly! Such a hard stroke.
We had a family golf scramble and so we were getting ready for it. We all had our visors and glasses, just like Mommy. This is her new pose... Now you know where Erkle went!!! Like Alex says, "don't you just want to smudge those cheeks!"
